Red Note StepManiaX Teaser Tournament

Overview

Following the success of our first dance game tournament – Desert Journey, we’re happy to announce a StepManiaX focused event at Red Note in Las Vegas! We have two StepManiaX cabs available to use for the tournaments.

Venue

Red Note is a brand new rhythm gaming focused arcade in Las Vegas, NV. In fact, it’s so new that it’s not even open to the public yet! Aside from having a fun tournament, the goal of this event is the give the dance game community a preview of the new arcade. The tournament will be the main attraction, but there will be other rhythm games available to play throughout the day. Check out the arcade’s website for more info: https://rednotelv.com/

Note: There’s a $10 cover fee to enter the building unless you’re participating in one or more of the tournaments.

Tournament Rules

Hard/Wild Tournament

• $10 Entry Fee
• 18-25 difficulty range
• Best of 3 songs with 5 song card draw. Each player bans one song, then each player picks one song. Remaining song is the tiebreaker.
• Swiss Format (Each song win is worth 1 point). Top 4 in the Swiss bracket advance to a single elimination final round. (Top 8 will advance if we have close to 32 participants)
• For the single elimination final round, semi-finals will be best of 5 with 7 card draw, and the final match will be best of 7 with 9 card draw.
• For any tiebreakers that need to be resolved, all tiebreaker participants will play the same two randomly chosen songs within the 18-25 difficulty. The participant(s) with the top combined scores will advance to the single elimination final round.

  • 3rd Place – $100 Amazon Gift Card
  • 4th Place – $50 Amazon Gift Card

Full Tournament

• $10 Entry Fee
• Prizes
  • 1st Place – 50% of entry fee
  • 2nd Place – 30% of entry fee
  • 3rd Place – 20% of entry fee
  • 4th Place – Entry fee refunded

Weekend Schedule (May 13th – May 15th)

Friday (5pm-10pm)

• Warmup night! All games on free play.

Saturday (11am-10pm)

• Tournament Day 1
• Hard/Wild Tournament starts at 12am
• Full tournament will start shortly after the Hard/Wild tournament

Sunday (12pm-7pm)

• Tournament Day 2.
• Conclude Full tournament (if necessary)
• Start Team tournament (pending enough signups)
